React walked into a bar

In 2019, I ended my 16 year career in healthcare IT and began working for a digital agency. I met React and static site generators like Gatsby and Next.

My hobby wine-making site became a playground to experiment with components and modern frontend tooling in a real project I could share publicly.

React + wine = interactive fermentation.

Red Brick Manor Wines

Built with:
Drupal, Gatsby, React, CSS

My work:

This is my personal site for documenting and writing about wine-making. It also serves as a living example of content writing and frontend development, because many of the sites in my portfolio no longer exist.

Over the years, it's quietly become a frontend architecture timeline, starting as a traditional Drupal site and evolving into a decoupled Gatsby/React frontend with a headless DatoCMS.

It will probably evolve again soon. I’m looking at you, Astro.
