The client websites 2003-2004

These client sites were built during the time of table layouts, graphical navigation and “what if this text was also an image?” design decisions. The sites were simple and very much matched the early-2000s internet vibe.

Consistency was a suggestion, and the spacing system was hope.

Sign Making Business Website

Sign Making Business Website

Built with:
Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML/CSS, Macromedia Fireworks

My work:

This was a client project from my early web development business for a local sign-making company. I handled hosting setup, domain registration, and worked with the client on basic design, branding, and content.

The site featured fully custom Fireworks-designed graphics. Yes, one navigation menu was a fence post with hanging signs, which, back then, probably took more time to create in a graphic editor than it would to build an actual fence.

Welding Business Website

Welding Business Website

Built with: HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Fireworks

My work:

I worked with the client on a redesign, branding updates, and building a temporary landing page while the full site was being created.

The site was built with Macromedia Dreamweaver, with custom graphics created in Fireworks, tools that were absolutely essential at the time and are now mostly found in internet history books.

My work:

This was a client project from my early web development business. I handled the full setup: domain registration, hosting, basic design, branding, content organization, and building the site.

The site was created with Macromedia Dreamweaver, with custom graphics made in Fireworks, back when a web developer was often also the designer, project manager and person who knew where the “internet” lived.

Local Church Website

Local Church Website

Built with:
HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, RSS

My work:

As the former web administrator for this local church site, I built the full static site using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. I handled page layouts, visual design, and created or customized all graphics and icons, including a hero of clouds, rainbows and italic script fonts.

I also implemented simple RSS feeds to keep content updates flowing to the site from external sources, a cutting-edge feature at the time.
